Egypt's army chief of staff discusses cooperation with MFO Sinai chief

Egypt's Army Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazy met on Thursday in Cairo with director-general of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) in Sinai David Satterfield to discuss cooperation between the Egyptian Armed Forces and the MFO, the Egyptian army announced.
The meeting was attended by a number of Egyptian military officials.
Satterfield, a US veteran diplomat, was appointed by Egypt and Israel in July 2009 as director-general of the MFO in Sinai, which observes the peace between the two countries. Satterfield's term as director-general will end this month.
Earlier on Thursday, Satterfield met with Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, who thanked Satterfield for his work and praised the important role of the MFO in Sinai.
