Egypt winger Salah to undergo medical at Liverpool on Wednesday: Report
Published in Ahram Online on 20 - 06 - 2017

English Premier League side Liverpool are on the verge of signing Mohamed Salah for a club record fee as the Egypt winger was given permission by AS Roma to undergo a medical at the club on Wednesday, the Daily Mail reported.
“Salah, who initially rejected Liverpool three years ago to join Chelsea, has agreed a deal that will nearly double his wages to £90,000 per week and he was due to leave Cairo for London on Tuesday morning,” the English newspaper said on Tuesday
Liverpool have reportedly been in talks to bring the former Chelsea winger back to the English Premier League, but the negotiations stalled because of Roma's financial demands.
Roma initially rejected a £28million offer for the 25-year-old Salah early in June, but it now seems the two clubs have reached an agreement over the anticipated move.
“Michael Edwards, Liverpool's sporting director, has continued in negotiations with Monchi, his counterpart in Rome, and a deal has now been structured that with add-ons, will see Liverpool pay more than the £35m they invested in Andy Carroll in January 2011. The final fee may be closer to £40m,” explained the Daily Mail.
Salah enjoyed a highly successful season with Roma, helping them finish as runners-up in the Italian Serie A behind champions Juvenuts.
He scored 19 goals and provided 15 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions.
