Artist Amira Mannah's painting exhibition titled Landscape opened at Cairo's El-Asema gallery on 7 May featuring artist Amira Mannah. The exhibition displayed a total of 25 acrylic on paper paintings of abstract landscapes that are expressionist in nature. Mannah's palette is a range of earth tones, mixed with occasional primary colours that lend a dynamism to the natural scenes she was inspired by. There is a rhythmic quality to the visible brush strokes that captures the movement in the natural spaces and that of the artist's hand. Some of the larger pieces are characterised by a vastness in the places they reveal, with elements softly dabbed between a great earth and wide skies.
