The Ministry of Health has announced that today's attack on the Coptic march has left 29 injured. All but one left hospitals, says Minister's assistant Adel Adawy. According to the ministry the injuries varied from bruises and wounds on the body. Several cases of fainting have also been reported. The march was held to commemorate the 40 day anniversary of the 9 October Maspero clashes which left at least 26 dead. The protesters had set out from Shubra Square and were heading to Maspero to pray for the martyrs when unknown assailants attacked them with stones and Molotov cocktails. Security forces used tear gas to disperse the protesters.
