Ministry of Health: Maspiro clashes left 24 dead

Assistant of Egyptian Minister of Health for clinical medicine, Adel al-Adawy, said the toll number of deaths reached 24 and 272 injured during clashes in Maspiro on Sunday October 9.
Of the 24 dead, 17 were Coptic Christian. The injuries varied between fractures, wounds and gunshot injuries. 253 of the injured were sent to hospitals and 19 were treated at the scene with first aid.
Al-Adawy asked the military police to increase their forces at hospitals to protect the injured.
