Health Minister Amr Helmy on Sunday denied rumors that a protester injured during recent clashes in Abbasseya Square died from his wounds. Adel al-Adawy, deputy health minister, said the total number of injured stands 309. Two-hundred-and-eight were treated on spot, while the other 101 were transferred to nearby hospitals. Eighty-four patients have left the hospitals. Contrary to earlier reports that all protesters injured in the clashes have been released, nineteen remain hospitalized, he added. Twelve of them are being treated in al-Demerdash hospital, three at Ain-Shams hospital, two in Kobry al-Qobba military hospital, one in al-Zahraa university hospital and one in Police Hospital in Nasr City. Most of the patients are in stable condition except for one in Ain Shams hospital.
