Egypt's winger Ahmed Elmohamady finally made it to the Theatre of Dreams, the Old Trafford stadium, playing in Sunderland's 2-0 defeat to Manchester United Sunday. The 23-year old player was in Steve Bruce's starting lineup, replacing in-form Danny Welbeck whois ineligible to play against his parent club due to loan agreement regulations. The former Enppi and Ghazl El-Mahala player started the game as a right-back, as Bruce wanted to give an attacking role for Dutch winger Boudewijn Zenden. Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov scored on either side of the break (5 and 57 minutes) to secure Manchester United's top spot. In an attempt to boost his offensive display, Bruce replaced Zenden by Argentinean full-back Marcos Angeleri, moving Elmohamady to the right winger position in the 83rd minute. It was already too late in the game and the score remained unchanged to time. Sunderland are seventh of the Premier League table with 27 points, 10 behind leaders Manchester United who still have two games in hand.
