After the stunning 2-1 defeat to newly-promoted side Norwich City, Sunderland coach Steve Bruce is considering making some major changes in his lead formation. Bruce has admitted that “six or seven players played well below their level” and many believe Egypt's Ahmed Elmohamady and Benin international Stephane Sessegnon are on top of that list. Elmohamady — who was used earlier this season as a full-back — played last Monday as a winger but failed to produce a creative or convincing performance. The £6 million Benin striker Sessegnon, who joined the Black Cats in January, is only a shadow of his former self after failing to notch his first goal of the season until now. Both players, among others, are expected to be relegated to the bench, especially that the pressure is mounting on coach Bruce after a struggling start to the season saw Sunderland drop to 14thplace on the league table with only five points after six games.
