Ahly are only five wins short of a routine Egyptian Premier League triumph as they face El-Entag El-Harby on Sunday with the aim of preserving their lead over nearest challengers Maqassa. The Red Devils have hit a rich vein of form under coach Hossam El-Badry this term, thanks in particular to their defensive prowess which saw them only concede four goals in 25 matches. Should Ahly win their next five matches, the last of which will be against Maqassa, they will be assured of a ninth league title in 10 seasons. They can be also crowned champions earlier than that if Maqassa, who are 10 points behind them having played a game more, slip up before then. Ahly lost their favourite title only once in the last 12 years, surrendering it to arch rivals Zamalek in 2015. They are expected to wrap up a 39th title this term. Egypt and Africa's most successful side seem to have finally found the target man they always craved, with Ivorian striker Souleymane Coulibaly firing on all cylinders after joining from Scottish side Kilmarnock. Coulibaly's goal-scoring instincts were evident in his first few games, having netted five goals in as many league matches. "Very important win tonight and happy to get the goal again but great teamwork. Thanks to all Ahly fans. With God Nothing Is Impossible," the 22-year-old said on Twitter after netting the only goal which gave the team a win over Tanta earlier this month. El-Entag are 14th in the 18-team table and they will be hoping to avoid defeat to remain away from the relegation zone. Ahly welcome back winger Walid Soliman after he recovered from injury but veteran striker Emad Meteb remains out of favour.
