Brazil 2-0 Egypt: Egypt's player ratings
Egypt's player ratings following the 2-0 defeat by Brazil in Monday's friendly in Qatari capital Doha
Published in Ahram Online on 15 - 11 - 2011

Ahmed El-Shennawy (7.5)
The promising goalkeeper was partially to blame for Brazil's second goal but pulled off a string of impressive saves to thwart the Selecao on many occasions.
Ahmed Fathi (7)
The full-back was one of Egypt's best performers, closing down spaces at the back to force Brazil to attack from the other flank.
Ahmed Hegazy (6.5)
The towering defender was caught napping in the build up to Brazil's opener but was otherwise solid, making some fine interceptions on the edge of the area.
Wael Gomaa (5)
Ahly's veteran central defender shared responsibility for Brazil's opener and was outrun by opposing forwards more than once.
Mohamed Nassef (3.5)
The ENPPI left-back had an Egypt debut to forget. He failed in his task to stop the threat Brazil posed on the flank.
Shikabala (4)
The Zamalek winger's sole contribution was a curling free-kick which Brazil keeper Diego Alves blocked in the first half.
Hossam Ghaly (3.5)
The central midfielder was a peripheral figure. His trademark precise passes were nowhere to be seen.
Hosni Abd-Rabou (4.5)
The Ismaily man could not replicate his impressive Egyptian Premier League displays. He was replaced y skipper Ahmed Hassan few minutes into the second half.
Ahmed Elmohamady (4)
Coach Bob Bradley deployed the natural right wing-back on the left, a decision that backfired as Elmohamady couldn't make his usual darting runs nor whip in any crosses.
Mohamed Zidan (3)
Lack of regular action took its toll on the Borussia Dortmund striker, who failed to make his presence felt until being replaced with Walid Soliman early in the second half.
Emad Meteb (4)
The Ahly frontman was not effective as he failed to trouble Brazil's defence. He was also not helped by the inability of Egypt's midfielders to feed him.
Substitutes:
Ibrahim Salah (6)
The Zamalek defensive midfielder entered the fray in the second half, replacing Hossam Ghaly. He rose to the occasion with an energetic display and some timely interceptions in midfield.
Walid Soliman (4)
The Ahly playmaker came on as a second-half substitute instead of Mohamed Zidan but struggled to improve Egypt's attacking display.
Ahmed Hassan (4)
The veteran midfielder, who equaled the international appearances record held by former Saudi Arabia keeper Mohamed El-Deayea, had a bouncing shot that was saved by Alves for his only highlight.
Dodi El-Gabbas (not tested)
Abdallah El-Saied (not tested)
