Ahly and Egypt defender Ahmed Hegazi will miss the upcoming league fixture at Alexandria's Ittihad due to muscle fatigue. Hegazi, 26, was forced off in last week's 2-0 league victory over Petrojet after colliding with forward James Teddy in the first half. "Scans have showed that Hegazi is suffering hamstring muscle fatigue," Ahly football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz said. The former Fiorentina center-back was an integral member of Egypt's squad at this year's Africa Cup of Nations, playing all minutes to help his side finish runners-up to champions Cameroon. He missed Ahly's first few league games through injury before starting eight consecutive matches late last year. The injury-hit defender, however, was again hampered by another setback to miss four league games in December.
