Egypt defender Ahmed Hegazy will miss the Pharaohs' game against Tanzania in the final round of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday after medical scans have showed that the key player suffers from a hamstring injury. Ahly and Egypt's first choice defender underwent medical investigations after missing Wednesday's training session with muscle problems. "Medical scans have showed that Hegazy is suffering from a hamstring injury so it would be difficult for him to join the squad for the Tanzania game," Egypt's doctor Mohamed Abou El Ela told reporters on Thursday. "He needs to recover for three to four days from the muscle problems," he added. "Hegazy will undergo a physiotherapy session in the hope that he recovers quickly," Egypt's doctor said. Egypt will face Tanzania in the final round of the CAN 2017 qualifiers on 4 June. The seven-time African champions are at the top of Group G of the qualifiers with seven points, five ahead of second placed Nigeria.
