Zaki blow for Egypt

Egypt have received another blow with the news that striker Amr Zaki will miss the 2010 African Cup of Nations with a hamstring injury, Zamalek doctor Mostafa Al-Monayeri confirmed.
"After the latest scan for Zaki, it seems that he needs at least six weeks to recover from a torn hamstring," Zamalek chief medic Al-Monayeri told FilGoal.com.
The African showdown kicks off on January 10th.
"I am desperate to play in the African cup and I was ready to endure whatever pain, but the doctors have the final say," said the 26-year-old.
Zaki aggravated the injury in Egypt's 1-0 World Cup qualifying defeat to Algeria in Sudan last month.
The Bulldozer has been struggling with fitness problems since March, when he first sustained the injury in another defeat to the Desert Foxes in Blida.
The troublesome hamstring also forced him to sit out Egypt's Confederations Cup campaign in South Africa back in June.
The fresh setback comes as a blow for Egypt coach Hassan Shehata, who will already miss talisman Mohamed Abou-Treika in Angola next month.
