Ahly and Egypt center-back Ahmed Hegazy has been ruled out of his side's mid-week Egyptian league clash with Enppi after sustaining a hamstring injury in Thursday's 1-0 victory over Smouha. Hegazy limped off in the 72nd minute against the Alexandrians with what appeared to be a hamstring strain as he was replaced by fellow defender Mohamed Naguib. With scans yet to determine the full extension of his injury, the 25-year-old Hegazy has been already confirmed out of Monday's clash with Enppi, as Ahly bid to win a second consecutive league title. The Reds will be sweating over Hegazy, who was key in Egypt's crucial 1-0 World Cup qualifying home win over Ghana, as they face a difficult run of fixtures which include games against Hossam Hassan's Masry and arch-rivals Zamalek in the upcoming two weeks. Ahly are currently top of the Egyptian league table with 38 points, 10 ahead of second-placed Maqassa who played two games less.
