Egypt and Jordan are working with the Palestinian Authority to push for the establishing of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, Egyptian foreign minister Sameh Shoukry and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Al-Safadi said in Cairo on Thursday. The two FMs held a press conference following talks in Cairo to discuss the latest developments in the region, including the Palestinian peace process and Egyptian-Jordanian relations. Al-Safadi, who arrived in Cairo early Thursday, said that he hopes the upcoming Arab League summit to be held in of March in Amman would see a discussion on the Syrian civil conflict.
