Czech coach Frantisek Straka was appointed as Ismaily's new boss, the Egyptian Premier League side announced on Wednesday. Straka, a former international player who represented his country at the 1990 FIFA World Cup, was in charge of Czech giants Sparta Prague in 2004 and Viktoria Plzen in 2006. Staka's only achievement was leading Slovan Bratsilava to the Slovak Super Cup in 2014. He was named as Czech Republic's interim coach in June 2009 but left his post after only one game against Malta. The 58-year-old will replace Ashraf Khedr at Ismaily's helm. The club are eighth in the league table with 21 points from 16 matches. (For more sports news and updates, follow Ahram Online Sports on Twitter at @AO_Sports and on Facebook at AhramOnlineSports)
