Sporting Braga striker Ahmed Hassan Kouka has left Egypt's preparation camp due to an injury ahead of an anticipated World Cup home qualifier against Ghana on Sunday. Last week, Argentinean manager Hector Cuper called-up Smouha striker Hossam Salama 'Paolo' to replace Kouka in his 23-man squad for the crucial game because he was suffering from muscle fatigue. On Thursday, the 23-year-old hitman left the Pharaohs camp after his injury ruled him out of the game. Egypt have made a good start to their qualifying campaign with an away victory against Congo, while Ghana were held to a disappointing goalless draw at home by minnows Uganda. The seven-time African champions lead the group with three points, two ahead of second-placed Ghana. Egypt have made only two World Cup appearances, both in Italy in 1934 and 1990.
