Egyptian stocks are surging upwards in the week's final session, with the EGX30 up 2.36 per cent at 4,146 points an hour before the close of Thursday trade. It's the third consecutive day of gains for Egypt's stock exchange since values plunged on Monday in the aftermath of a fatal crackdown on protesters at Cairo's state TV building. Market turnover is currently LE292.95 million, up on previous days.
