Egypt taekwondo fighter Hedaya Wahba Malak will be seeking to win a bronze medal after losing to Eva Calvo of Spain following a stunning run to the semi-final of the women's -57kg event on Thursday. Malak lost to Calvo - the 2015 World Championships silver medalist - by a golden kick 1-0 after finishing the three rounds equal on points She will play for the bronze medal later on today. The 23-year old had a remarkable run in Rio as she demolished Colombia's Patino Marin 13-0 in round 16 before stunned the reigning World Champion Mayo Hamada of Japan in the quarter finals by the golden kick. Earlier in the day, Egypt's Ghofran Mohamed Zaki failed to overcome Jordan's Ahmad Aboughaush in the men's 68 kg event to lose 9-1 and exit the competition's last-16.
