One day after officially joining Ahly, striker Marwan Mohsen has been named to the 24-man list for the fourth round game of the CAF Champions League group stage against Moroccan side Wydad on Wednesday. Ahly unveiled on Thursday the signing of the international striker from Ismaily on a five-year contract, and have registering the player in their squad for the African Champions League. The Cairo giants are suffering from a shortage in the front line after the departure of Gabon's Malick Evouna, while Ghanaian striker John Antwi is still doubtful for the game after sustaining an injury during last week's game against Wydad at home. Despite tailing Group A of the CAF Champions League with only one point, Ahly's Dutch coach Martin Jol has stated he still hopes to reach the next stage. The eight-time African champions need to win their remaining three matches, including two away games against Wydad and ASEC, to stand a chance of booking one of two group tickets to the semifinals.
