Ahly will host Dakhleya at Alexandria's Borg El-Arab stadium on Thursday knowing that victory over the seventh-placed side will help them move one step closer to winning their ninth Egyptian league title in 10 seasons. With five matches remaining, Ahly are on top of the league table with 68 points, five ahead of second-placed Zamalek who played a game more. Ahly need to win three out of their remaining matches to wrestle the title back from arch rivals Zamalek. The Red Devils are expected to face a stern test against Dakhleya though, having held the Cairo giants to a 1-1 draw in the reverse league fixture. Dakhleya also held Zamalek to a 0-0 draw. Dakhleya will be eyeing their first win under experienced coach Farouk Gaafar, who took over following the sudden departure of Alaa Abdel-Aal. Gaafar, who had stints with Zamalek and Ismaily among a host of other Egyptian clubs, failed to make a winning start with Dakleya as the team lost 1-0 to Smouha in the previous round.
