Egyptian minister of justice approves 5 Kuwaiti lawyers to join Mubarak's defence team The group of volunteers admire Mubarak for his support for Kuwait in the Gulf War
Minister of Justice Mohamed Abdel–Aziz El-Gendy has approved five of a group of volunteer Kuwaiti lawyers to be part of the defence team of Egypt's ousted president Hosni Mubarak, who is currently facing trial for charges of inciting the murder of protesters and corruption. The permits granted to the five lawyers were of a special nature, as they are foreigners. A group of Kuwaiti lawyers volunteered recently to defend Mubarak in court, in a gesture they described as an act of gratitude for his actions towards Kuwait in the 1991 Gulf War, when the country was invaded by Iraq.
