Celebrating Ramadan, The Terrace at Designopolis has, as of last weekend, transformed its venue to a live entertaining tent called Ramadana. In celebration of the holy month, the tent is featuring special performances every Wednesday night. So for tonight, Wednesday 17 August, Ramadana will host the Egyptian rock band Salalem to perform at its venue. Labelling themselves as a mix of Egyptian Indie pop and funk-rock, the six members of the pop band started back in 2004 when Mohamed Ali, Osama Saad and Amr Gioushy decided to combine their musical talents. With Arabic lyrics that speak out about the issues concerning today's youth, Salalem continue to create songs that are excitedly welcomed by their audience.
