Ahly need time to get back on winning track: coach Martin Jol
Ahly's Dutch coach believes it is difficult to win a game in the Egyptian Premier League

After beating Maqassa 2-1 in the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday, Ahly Dutch coach Martin Jol revealed that he is happy for the players' performance during the game, but they need time to improve for the coming games.
Ahly survived a scare from one of the Egyptian Premier League dark horses to claim a 2-1 win over Maqassa and give new coach Martin Jol a winning start on Saturday, going nine points clear at the top of the table.
"Ahly still need more effort during the coming time to get back to winning ways," Jol told the post game's press conference.
In-form youngster Ramadan Sobhi broke the deadlock shortly before the interval but Maqassa's Mohamed Gaber leveled the score on the hour mark after capitalising on a dreadful mistake from defender Ahmed Hegazy.
Substitute striker Amr Gamal finished off a neatly-worked counter attack with 14 minutes remaining to settle Ahly's nerves and help them avenge a 1-0 defeat by the same opponent last November.
"I asked the players during the break to continue in their performance during the first half and to score again,"
The former Tottenham Hotspur coach Martin Jol, who arrived on Monday at Cairo Airport to lead the Reds for a year and a half, revealed that it is difficult to win a game in the Egyptian Premier League as the teams are improving.
"The game against Maqassa was difficult and it needed extra effort from the two sides," Jol said.
"The players did what I told them and they met my instructions quickly." The Dutch coach added.
Ahly are leading the Egyptian Premier League teams table with 47 points, nine over rivals and runners Zamalek who will face Arab Contractors on Sunday.
Jol's primary task will be helping Ahly win the premier domestic competition after their eight-season hegemony was ended by Zamalek last term. The club is also seeking to win a record-extending ninth African Champions League title and their first since 2013.
The 60-year-old coach Jol is a former coach of many European outfits including Tottenham, Scheveningen, Roda JC, RKC Waalwijk, Hamburger SV, and Ajax but has been out of action since leaving Fulham in December 2013.
