Former PM Ahmed Nazif interrogated for LE3 million discount on Giza flat Illicit Gains Authority continues investigations into corruption charges against former ministers
The Illicit Gains Authority is currently interrogating former prime minister Ahmed Nazif, former speaker of the People's Assembly Ahmed Fathi Sorour, and former minister Ibrahim Soliman who are accused of misusing their position to illegally expand their personal wealth. The Illicit Gains Authority questioned the director of legal affairs of the Talaat Mostafa Group regarding the allocation of a flat in the Nile Plaza Four Seasons building to Nazif. The director confirmed the incident and said that Nazif got a LE3 million discount. The investigation also included the questioning of the director of legal affairs of New Cairo on information that eight pieces of land were allocated to Sorour and his children upon Sorour's request.
