PM Sharaf orders Cabinet to resume work until new ministers are sworn in New ministers were expected to swear in yesterday, but the ceremony was postponed
Prime Minister Essam Sharaf has ordered all current Cabinet ministers to continue performing their duties and administer their respective ministries until the 15 new ministers swear a government oath. Sharaf also instructed all the authorities and governmental bodies to continue their work until the new ministers are sworn in. The new Cabinet was expected to take the oath yesterday in front of Egypt's military ruler Field Marshall Hussein Tantawi, but the ceremony was postponed. The ministers were appointed after weeks of protests over the way the interim government was handling the transitional period.
