Esperance claimed first Tunisian league post-revolution
The Tunisian giants Esperance celebrated their 23th League title, eyeing more glory in Africa

Tunisian club Esperance have clinched the first, domestic, post-revolution competition on Sunday after beating CS Hammam Lif 3-1 behind closed doors to boost their position on top.
Esperance have won their third successive title, beating rivals and runners-up E.S. Sahel who lag five points behind with 64 points after the last match ended their race with a 4-1 defeat by Club Sportif Sfaxien.
”We were the best in all aspects,” say coach Nabil Maaloul, the third manager for Esperance this season after Benzarti and Kanzari, adding “We earned the title.”
The long football season has finally come to an end after a long pause during the country's demonstrations that ousted former president Ben Ali. Resuming the league was followed with scenes of hooliganism and hesitations from the Tunisian Football Association who canceled relegation system last week.
The 23-time Tunisia champions are preparing for continental glory as they start the round 16 of the African Champions League next Saturday against Algeria's MC Alger before they face Egypt's Ahly and Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco tough Group B of the Champions League.
