Egypt and Borussia Dortmund striker Mohammed Zidan braced as his Bundesliga champions smashed sixth-division VfL Rhede 7-1 in a friendly match within the pre-season preparations.
The 29-year-old scorer is close to saving a regular place in Dortmund's squad, as he did his best and netted twice in the 50th and 67th minutes, earning coach Jurgen Klopp's appreciation.
Press reports last month claimed that Egyptian league champions Ahly are in talks with Zidan to sign him this summer and the player welcomed the offer in the case of not booking a regular place in the Bundesliga side squad next season.
The Pharaohs striker is working on making his first appearance with Borussia Dortmund in the European Champions League next season.
