A high-profile judicial official says businessman and Mubarak ally, Hussein Salem did not make bail and might well be extradited to Egypt

A high-profile Egyptian judicial official denied that businessman Hussein Salem has been released on bail by Spanish authorities, saying he eventually might well be extradited to Egypt.
Salem, a confidante of ousted president Hosni Mubarak, has been on the run since 3 February. He was arrested in his villa in Majorca, Spain, last Wednesday.
Last weekend, Al Jazeera reported that Salem had been released on an astronomical bail of 27 million Euros. However, the judicial official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, stressed that he is still detained.
The same source believes Egypt has a substantial chance to retrieve Salem, who is accused of multiple charges of corruption and money laundering.
