Egyptian striker Ahmed Ali scored as Al-Hilal crushed Al-Faisaly 3-0 to reach the semi final of the Saudi King Cup of Champions on Friday.
Issa Al-Mehyani opened the scoring in the 48th minute before Ahmed Al-Fraidy doubled Al-Hilal's lead five minutes past the hour mark.
Burly striker Ali, who joined Al-Hilal from Egyptian coastal club Ismaily on loan until the end of the season, came off the bench in the second half to put the icing on the cake with a 82nd-minute goal.
He beat his marker to a left-wing cross to send a looping shot over the keeper and into the back of the net as Al-Hilal claimed a 5-1 aggregate win, having beaten Al-Faisaly 2-1 in the first leg.
Recent reports in Saudi Arabia suggested that Al-Hilal have opted against signing Ali on a permanent basis but no official confirmation has been made yet.
The 25-year-old has scored six goals in all competitions so far to help Al-Hilal clinch the domestic double.
