French giants PSG have taken up the option to sign full-back Serge Aurier on a permanent deal that will last until 2019, the club announced on Wednesday. "Paris Saint-Germain is happy to announce it has triggered the option to buy Serge Aurier. The Côte d'Ivoire international has signed a contract with the club until June 2019," read a statement on the club's official website. The 22-year-old joined PSG from Toulouse last summer on a loan deal with an option to make it permanent. "The project here at Paris Saint-Germain is exceptional. I'm enjoying a magnificent season, both on an individual and team level. "I am very proud that the club is again showing its confidence in me. I will continue to progress to help the team reach the summits of the game, both in France and Europe," Aurier told the club's website. Aurier has made 14 appearances with PSG, scoring once and creating two goals. He played with the Ivorian National team in last year's World Cup and helped the Elephants win their first Africa Cup of Nations title since 1992 last February.
