Salah going to be here with us next year: Montella
Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella did not expect Mohamed Salah was going to adapt so quickly to the Serie A and have a substantial impact on the competition

Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella said that on-loan Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah is going to remain in Florence next year, after the Egypt star had scored a goal in the 2-0 Serie A win over Sampdoria on Saturday.
Salah has been in stunning form for Fiorentina, whom he joined on a six-month loan from English Premier League leaders Chelsea in the winter break, taking his tally to seven goals in 12 appearances so far this season.
His impact was acknowledged by ex-Italy forward Montella, who admitted he did not expect the 22-year-old to adapt so quickly to Serie A – while stressing the importance of retaining his services next year.
“Salah deserves all the credit for this great impact on Serie A. I don't know the details of how we can buy him permanently, but I do know there's another year on loan and then we'll see," Montella told Sky Sport Italia.
“The club has to ultimately evaluate the financial issues, but the important thing is that he's going to be here with us next year.
“I knew his quality, but admittedly I did not expect Salah to adapt so quickly to Serie A. He has scored important and decisive goals against big clubs.”
Salah hit a marvelous goal against Sampdoria at the weekend, slaloming past a couple of challengers before bursting into the area and adding Viola's second with his weak right foot.
The strike marked his fourth league goal this season, having scored another against Inter Milan before leading Fiorentina to a vital 2-0 Coppa Italia win over giants Juventus with a magnificent brace.
It remains to be seen what Salah's next destination will be, with Chelsea widely expected to make the most of the Egyptian's scintillating form by selling him in the summer transfer window.
