Egypt's Salah ready for Fiorentina adventure in Europa League Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah is ready to face Roma in the second leg of the round of 16 in the Europa League on Thursday
After the 1-1 draw in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 last week, all eyes are on Fiorentina and Egypt winger Mohamed Salah when the Viola face Roma in the second legat 8pm Cairo time (GMT +2) on Thursday. "The teams know each other pretty well and neither side was happy when we were put together in the draw," Fiorentina's Vincenzo Montella said at a press conference ahead of the game. "It is a difficult game and we're happy to play it. The tie is open to any result. My squad is much more prepared than in the past, as we've played many important matches now and gained experience," he added. The 22-year-old Egyptian winger is expected to maintain his scoring form after enjoying a scintillating start with the Serie A side Fiorentina, scoring six goals in nine appearances in all competitions since his arrival in late January, coming from Chelsea on loan. Salah could again reach the Europa League quarterfinals as he did with Swiss team Basel in 2013. Salah has lost only once during his nine games for Fiorentina. He joined Fiorentina on loan from English Premier League leaders Chelsea last month until the end of the season after failing to book a regular place in the Blues squad under coach Jose Mourinho.
