1 killed, 9 injured in series of blasts at mobile shops, 2 police stations in Giza

Four of the bombs targeted Vodafone and Etisalat communications stores in the greater Cairo area; another exploded outside a police station in Waraq; police diffused two in Ousim
Five bombs detonated in Giza early on Thursday morning, killing one and injuring at least 9 people.
The ministry of health told Ahram Online one individual was killed in an early morning bomb explosion in the low-income district of Imbaba, after a bomb exploded outside a pizza restaurant in El-Wehda street, while three others were injured.
The restaurant stands adjacent to a Vodafone shop.
Police told Ahram Arabic news website that the the explosion led to the amputation of the leg of one of those injured.
State radio reported that the man later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities were alerted of the presence of an unidentified package at the site of the Imbaba explosion, but the device detonated before officers could reach the scene.
Three other bombs exploded in the middle class district of Mohandiseen, targeting outlet shops of three mobile network providers -- two Vodafone and one Etisalat -- on two main avenues -- Gameat El-Dowal Street and Sudan Street.
The glass fronts of two Vodafone shops and one Etisalat shop were damaged by three explosions, two on Sudan street which left three injured, according to the health ministry.
Police cordoned off streets in both locations.
Another 3 people were injured after another bomb exploded in front of a police station in El-Waraq district in Giza governorate, the health ministry said.
A team of explosives experts defused a second bomb near the station.
Later on Thursday, police issued a statement saying they defused 2 bombs in Ousim, Giza.
Further north in Daqahliya governorate in the central Nile Delta, two small bombs exploded in a bus depot in the city of Aga, causing damage to a number of vehicles.
Explosives experts defused a third bomb near the depot as they cordoned off and combed the area.
The plantation of small bombs in public spaces reportedly by anti-government militants has spiked in recent months, constituting a diversification in the tactics of militants who previously focused on more direct targetting of police and army facilities and personnel since the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in 2013.
