One person was killed and more than six others were injured after four bombs exploded outside Cairo police stations Thursday morning, state-media reported. According to the Health Ministry, a bomb explosion in Imbaba left one person killed. The Imbaba explosion also injured three workers, according to state-media. According to the police, one man's leg was amputated, state-owned newspaper Al-Ahram said. The persons injured include at least four police personnel who were on duty in El-Warraq police station, in Giza. Two more bombs were found outside Vodafone and Etisalat shops in Cairo's Mohandessin neighbourhood; the bombs left no injuries, although the shops were damaged. Another explosive device killed a road sweeper in 6 October City on Wednesday, Al-Ahram reported. Improvised explosive devices (IEDs) targeting police stations have been a common occurence over the past year and a half.
