Suzanne Mubarak to undergo heart procedure today
The wife of Egypt's ousted president is thought to have suffered a heart attack following the prosecutor-general's decision to remand her in custody for 15 days

Suzanne Mubarak (nee Thabet), Egypt's former first lady, will undergo a coronary catheterisation at 9pm today in the Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital, where she has been staying after suffering a suspected heart attack yesterday.
The procedure is used to diagnose cardiovascular conditions, when a long thin tube is inserted in an artery or vein and threaded through the blood vessels to the heart.
Thabet fell ill shortly after the Illicit Gains Authority ordered her to be detained for 15 days. She is accused of amassing her wealth through illegal means. Her husband, ousted president Hosni Mubarak, has been a patient at the hospital since he suffered a minor heart attack while being questioned on 12 April over similar charges.
