Algeria afraid of us: Ghana winger Atsu
Ghana's star winger Christian Atsu believes Algeria should fear Ghana despite the North African team's recent good form

On-loan Everton winger Christian Atsu is convinced Algeria are afraid of Ghana ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations Group C encounter on Friday.
In an interview with French website lebuteur.com, Chelsea wide man Atsu – on a season-long loan to Everton – maintained that Ghana are unfazed by Algeria's quality despite the North Africans recent success over South Africa.
"Algeria are a very good team. We know that they have very good individuals who are playing in great clubs, but it doesn't mean anything,” the 23-year-old said.
“They managed to beat South Africa which means that they are a strong side even if they showed some weaknesses that make us feel that they are within our reach.
“After their opening victory they have a psychological advantage, but I don't think the game will be easy for the Algerians. I am convinced that they are afraid of us. We are Ghana.
“It is going to be a tough battle against a great Algerian side who took an option for the qualification. It is clear that we are going to face a team who are doing well with strong individuals. But we don't fear Algeria.
“We will fight to the end because we must win, we have no other choice if we want to qualify.”
Ghana were undone by a stoppage-time goal from Moussa Sow to lose their opening group game 2-1 to Senegal after initially taking a 14th minute-lead through an Andre Ayew spot kick.
Algeria, meanwhile, managed to come back from one goal down to beat South Africa 3-1, thanks to goals from Thulani Hlatshwayo, Faouzi Ghoulam and Islam Slimani, to top the group on goal difference.
