The Cameroon Football Association announced Wednesday the final squad for 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, dropping West Ham midfielder Alexandre Song.
Reports suggested earlier that Song would inform his club of his national duty call to join fellow absentee, African teammates Diafra Sakho and Cheikhou Kouyate who were called up to play for Senegal but it seems that Song will be available for his east London club after all.
"We might have a little worrying spell during the Africa Cup of Nations in January," said West Ham boss Sam Allardyce in a press conference earlier this month.
'”That's why I'm not prepared to do any more predictions until they come back,” he added.
The 27-year-old former Arsenal player joined West Ham from Barcelona this season making ten Premier League appearances – out of 17 – to help them gain 31 points. His last appearance with his national team was in the 2014 World Cup.
Cameroon have drew Group D with Ivory Coast, Mali and Guinea in the Equatorial Guinea-hosted tournament kicking off on 17 January.
Coach Volke Finke announced the following lineup:

Midfielders:Eyong Enoh (Standard Liège), Stephane Mbia (Sevilla), Raoul Loe (Osasuna), Edgar Salli (Académica), Georges Mandjeck (Kayseri Erciyesspor), Franck Kom (Etoile du Sahel), Patrick Ekeng (Cordoba)
