CAF: E. S. Sahel out of Confederation Cup
Nigeria's Kaduna qualify to the quarter finals after CAF considers Tunisian E. S. Sahel withdrawn
Published in Ahram Online on 03 - 05 - 2011

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has decided to consider Tunisian club E.S. Sahel withdrawn from the confederation after they failed to turn up for the fixture.
The 2006 Confederation Cup champions E. S. Sahel were scheduled to play away in Nigeria against Kaduna in round 16 of the continental competition but they asked the CAF to hold the game in a safer country, as they complained about lack of security in Nigeria during the current unrest.
The CAF refused the Tunisian side's demand and considered them withdrawn from the tournament after they didn't show up in the first-leg on 23 April. This is a good news for Nigeria's Kaduna who now qualify to the quarter-finals directly.
The Tunisian giant hold nine domestic league titles, seven Tunisia Cups, two African Champions League titles, two African Super Cups and many other trophies.
Fixture of the same round is as follows:
DCMP (DRC) v Haras El Hodoud (Egy)
USFA ( B. Faso) v Sunshine (Nigeria)
AS Adema (Madgscar) v DHJ (Mor)
Sofapaka ( Ken) v St Eloi Lupopo (DRC)
El Khartoum (Sudan) v MAS (Mor)
1 de Agosto (Angola) v FUS (Mor)
JSK (Algeria) v Missile FC (Gabon)
