Addis Ababa confirmed as Super Cup venue

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) denied on Wednesday reports saying that the Super Cup match between Ahli and Etoile Sahel would be staged in Khartoum instead of Addis Ababa.
"The Super Cup match between Ahli and Etoile Sahel will take place as scheduled in Addis Ababa on 18th February 2007," CAF said in a statement.
"All information regarding a shifting of this match from Addis Ababa to Khartoum is unfounded and was never announced by our Confederation," read the statement that was posted on their official website.
Ahli are the African Champions League holders while the Tunisian side won the Confederation Cup.
Both sides clashed in last season's Champions League finals, with Ahli clinching the title on a 3-0 aggregate victory.
According to the tournament regulations, the Champions League winners always host the Super Cup match but CAF decided to shift the game to Addis Ababa as part of their celebrations of the 50th anniversary.
