Botswana manager Peter Butler says Egypt's national team deserves to reach the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Morocco following the Pharaohs' victory over his side on Wednesday in Cairo.
Egypt completed the double over Botswana with another 2-0 victory at Cairo Stadium on Wednesday to keep pressure on Senegal and Tunisia as they press on with a tough challenge to reach next year's African Nations Cup finals in Morocco.
"I congratulate Egypt for the victory. I sympathise with them as they deserve to reach the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Morocco," Butler told the post game press conference.
Egypt are third in Group G with six points from four matches, one behind Senegal and four adrift of leaders Tunisia with two matches remaining.
The Pharaohs, who have not qualified for the Nations Cup since lifting the last of their record seven trophies in 2010, host Senegal next month before facingTunisia away from home in their final match. The top two will automatically reach the biennial tournament.
Meanwhile Botswana, who will not to reach the tournament finals as they are in the bottom of Group G with no points, will host Tunisia before facing Senegal in the final round of the group stage.
Butler said they will be playing to win, regardless of their standing.
