Botswana coach asks for fans' support ahead of crucial Egypt game Botswana coach asks fans to support the team at the stadium during the game against Egypt in the CAN 2015 qualifiers
Botswana coach Peter Butler has asked fans to attend the crucial game against Egypt in the third matchday of the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers on Friday to support the team in its quest to book a place in the tournament next year. The Zebras and Egypt risk missing out on a Nations Cup place after opening their qualifying campaigns with two losses each to Senegal and Tunisia. Botswana are third in Group G with no points, while the Pharaohs lie at the bottom. "Hosting Egypt in this stage is a good chance for the team to return to compete again," the Botswana coach said. "Beating Egypt here in Botswana will inspire the players to win the Cairo encounter," Butler added. Egypt and Botswana are in Group G alongside leaders Senegal and runners up Tunisia, who have six points each.
