Zamalek management boycotts Ultras White Knights
Hardcore fans banned as club president Mortada Mansour calls them a terrorist organisation, claims they were responsible for assassination attempt

Zamalek's management has decided to indefinitely boycott the club's hardcore fans, the Ultras White Knights, starting from Sunday.
The Cairo giants' board also decided to boycott all media that will be dealing with the fan group.
Zamalek's decision comes a few hours after the club's chairman, the controversial lawyer Mortada Mansour, survived an apparent assassination attempt.
His son, Ahmed Mansour, said via Facebook that unidentified gunmen opened fire at his father while he was coming out of Zamalek club early Sunday.
Mansour was unharmed in the attack but two workers at the club were injured, his son added.
The relationship between Zamalek's Ultras and Mansour has been far from healthy as of late, with the incumbent president pledging on several occasions to take action against rioters belonging to the group.
"Ultras White Knights is not a football fan group but a terrorist organisation. They tried to kill me and two people were injured," Mansour told reports at the club headquarters.
"I won't give up my right. All Egyptian media must boycott them and I will take legal actions to ban the Ultras groups," he added.
Ultras White Knights were supposed to protest at the club's gate on Sunday but they called it off after Mansour's incident.
"We won't deal with Ultras again. White Knights no longer have a relationship with Zamalek," board member Ahmed Mortada said.
"We will consider only the club's respectable fans. Any member of the club who will be dealing with the Ultras – his membership will be deactivated," he added.
