Smouha ready for Zamalek anywhere, with or without fans, says coach It doesn't matter if Saturday's match is played in Aswan, Cairo or Alexandria - with a crowd or not - says Smouha's confident manager
Smouha manager Hamada Sedky says his team is ready for the Egypt Cup against Zamalek on Saturday – in any location, with or without fan attendance. "We played a whole season behind closed doors so there will be no difference if we play the final without fans' support too. But still, a crowd would boost us," Sedky told an Egyptian radio station. The final match of the second most prestigious football tournament in Egypt is set to be held in Aswan with fans attending. However, there are speculations that the event could be moved to Cairo and played behind closed doors. "We are ready for Zamalek anywhere and we will accept any decision about the location and the crowd," added the former assistant of Hassan Shehata, the Egypt coach who won three successive Africa Cups of Nations. The 52-year-old tactician also commented on beating Ahly 2-1 in the semifinals. "This is revenge for the league's last match draw that enabled Ahly to clinch a championship from us with only one goal difference in the mini-league phase," he added.
