Egypt FA back Young Pharaohs coach Despite surprising friendly defeats in the Emirates, Yasser Radwan will coach the Egypt youth team in the CAN qualifiers
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA), under the leadership of Gamal Allam, has announced its full support for the national youth team, ahead of crucial matches. "The association totally trusts the youth team technical staff under coach Yasser Radwan," Allam told Ahram Sport on Tuesday. The Young Pharaohs, who start their 2015 African Cup of Nations (CAN) qualifiers with a match against DR Congo, were defeated twice last week by the UAE. "The board will meet with the technical staff to discuss their future needs," Allam added. The team are returning to Cairo on Wednesday from the Gulf country after they lost 3-1 and 3-2. Radwan took charge of the under-20 team in May succeeding Alaa Maihoub.
