Zamalek coach Mido eyes Egypt Cup final with Ahly
Seeking to avenge the league loss to Ahly, Zamalek boss Mido hopes both teams meet again at Egypt Cup final
Published in Ahram Online on 15 - 07 - 2014

Zamalek coach Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam hopes his team meets archrivals Ahly at the Egypt Cup final.
The Whites managed to qualify for the competition's final after securing a 5-4 penalty shootout win over Wadi Degla on Monday.
The reigning champions, Zamalek, now meet either Ahly or Smouha -- who clash on Tuesday -- in the competition's final.
"The Degla clash was a difficult one as they managed to tighten their defence throughout the game, which made our mission more complex," Mido said after the match.
"Winning matches is always more important than performance at the Egypt Cup," he added.
On 28 June, Zamalek lost 0-1 to Ahly at the opener of the league's final playoff, which was a main reason behind their losing the title to their rivals.
"Winning the cup title will be the best way to reconcile with our fans," concluded Mido, who seeks the Ahly face-off to avenge the league loss.
"Facing either Smouha or Ahly at the final will be difficult, but I hope the Reds reach there," explained the former Roma, Ajax and Tottenham player.
