Ahly left-winger Sayed Moawad has decided to retire at the end of the current season. "Moawad wanted immediate retirement but he delayed it to the end of the season to boost Ahly in ongoing tough competitions," the club's football department director Alaa Abdel-Sadek told their official website early Thursday after a meeting with the player. The 35-year-old defender joined the Cairo-based club in 2008 from Ismaily, winning a series of domestic and continental trophies with the Egyptian stars. He is a also a key player in the Egyptian national team that won three successive African Cups of Nations trophies in 2006,2008 and 2010.
