Investigations began today into the involvement of former Parliament speaker, Fathy Sorour, in the Battle of the Camel attack on peaceful protesters of the Egyptian Revolution Fathy Sorour, former speaker of Egypt's Parliament, is finally being investigated over his involvement in the “Battle of the Camel,” which left many protesters dead on 2 February during the Egyptian revolution. Moreover, the Fact-Finding Committee has released a report that points the finger at the two sons of the ousted president Hosni Mubarak, Alaa and Gamal Mubarak; former head of Egypt's upper house Shura Council, Safwat El-Sherif; attorney Mortada Mansour and business tycoon Ibrahim Kamel as the masterminds of the Battle of the Camel. Sorour was interrogated today at 10am. He was the speaker of the People's Assembly from 1990 until the Egyptian Revolution in 2011.
