Verdict in El-Adly retrial on Thursday
Former interior minister Habib El-Adly is accused of money laundering and profiteering

A Giza court will on Thursday issue its final verdict in the retrial of Mubarak-era interior minister Habib El-Adly.
He was convicted of money laundering and profiteering, for which he received a 12-year jail sentence.
In May 2014, the Court of Cassation overturned the conviction and ordered a retrial.
El-Adly remains in prison, where he is currently serving another five-year sentence for squandering public funds in the notorious 'license plates' case, in which a German company was awarded a government contract to provide license plates for vehicles at inflated prices.
The former minister, along with ousted president Hosni Mubarak and a number of former police generals, is also undergoing a retrial for killing protesters during the January 2011 uprising. Death sentences given in this case in 2012 were overturned by an appeal court.
