Egyptian keeper El-Hadary signs new contract with Wadi Degla
Pharaohs veteran keeper will remain with Egyptian outfit Wadi Degla until 2016; 41-year-old eyes 2018 World Cup

Veteran Egyptian goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary signed a two-year contract extension with Wadi Degla on Monday night.
Being free to join any club after his contract with Sudanese side El-Merreikh expired, the 41-year-old guard had signed a one-year contract for Degla at the start of this season.
The former Ahly, Zamalek and Ismaily player, El-Hadary, played an instrumental role at Degla this season in both the domestic league and also the African Confederation Cup, though they were eliminated from the latter in Round 16.
After signing the new contract, El-Hadary reportedly hailed the professionalism of Degla's management, insisting that the will be competing for the Egyptian Premier League title next season.
He also said that he is eying playing with the national team at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2018 World Cup.
Wadi Degla, who joined the Egyptian Premier League in the 2010-11 season, currently lies in fifth place of the League's Group B with 24 points, 11 behind leaders Ittihad El-Shorta.
The team lost hope of reaching the League's final phase as they have only one match in hand before the mini-league.
El-Hadary was instrumental in helping Egypt win three consecutive African Cup of Nations titles, in 2006, 2008 and 2010, but abruptly fell out of favour with former coach Bob Bradley who relied on Ahly's Sherif Ekramy in the World Cup qualifying campaign.
In February, he returned to the Egyptian team for the first time in almost a year under the guidance of the Pharaohs' new head coach, Shawky Gharib.
